And then it just ends. Are there more parts to post or is this really the end of the thread?

It's a fucking shame isn't it? I mean you get a very good idea of where he was going, but I guess after about a decade and 800 pages of writing, he just burnt out...

Great read. Despite spending almost too much time reading it I still believe this was worth the time. :D
Sad that it ended right there though.
Is it possible that someone else continues it? Has the OP communicated with you on how he possibly wants to finish the TL?

Very sad, I know. :(

His responses to me about "where you were planning on taking it" have pretty much been, "I've been out of the game so long, I really couldn't/don't feel like telling you." I think a collective (or individual) continuation of the TL is possible, I'd have to ask him about it, though I've not approached him yet.

Feel the same.

As for the TL itself, I'll try and find some time to give it a read. I'm usually not for these kinds of TLs because they tend to just be thought up in a 'guilt free' colonization manner instead of exploring the HUGE butterflies from a massively different ecology that would have arrisen without humans running around the continents.

It's not guilt free; most of the Gulf of Mexico and South-Atlantic Seaboard states become Slave states.

One thing I find interesting to ponder about is OTL's Natives still in Siberia or other parts of Asia, and their effect on TTL's butterflies if they survived. Obviously there's not going to be any of OTL ethnic groups running around, but it would be neat to see how we could have evolved in the eastern hemisphere.

Yeah I've thought of that too. It's somewhat accepted that the groups of original Native Americans were really quite small, so it's possible they just disappeared into history...
