I think a seriously neglected POD exists in 18c Russia. Natalia Alexeïevna was the daughter of Pyotr Velikiy's unloved son, Alexei Petrovich. She died at the age of 14 in 1728. However, varying sources say that she exerted a calming/soothing influence on her brother, Pyotr II. Say she had survived, and come 1730 when her brother dies, she ascends as Empress. Are we seeing someone more like Anna Ivanovna or as indolent as Anna Leopoldovna, or even as driven and ambitious as Ekaterina Velikaya?
Thoughts?
