Alright interesting. Hmm, I imagine then that France is going to be absolutely shitting itself with being surrounded by hostile powers on either side.
I dare say it will. What country do you think it could turn to (try and) balance this?
With Protestantism starting to spread in the 1520s and no Henry VIII, could France be the one to cause a schism with the Catholic Church?

Hmm, I'm not sure, the higher ups were quite pulled toward the church of Rome.
 
Yes of course. I thought perhaps they'd choose this as maybe the only way of countering England-HRE-Spain alliance and be opportunistic, in sum.
