Anna Vasa, daughter of John III of Sweden, sister of Sigismund Vasa, wanted to marry her cousin Gustaf Brahe, but match was opposed by her brother, who wanted someone higher born for his only sister (worth to note: Gustaf's niece Ebba Brahe also was in love with another Vasa-Anna's first cousin Gustav Adolf, but like with Anna and Gustaf, also never married each other due to unequality). Sigismund wanted Anna to marry Johann Georg, second son of Elector of Brandenburg Joachim Friedrich. Says Anna is not that interested in Brahe and agrees. They marry around Anna's 30th birthday, in 1598 and had one son, Sigismund Hohenzollern, born in 1600.
Johann Georg is behind his older brother and nephew in line to the Brandenburgian throne. But in this TL things changed in 1616. Georg Wilhelm choked with chiken's leg on his wedding with Elizabeth Charlotte of Palatinate, Johan Georg became heir of his brother.
So what would happen now?
Johann Sigismund would be broken by such tragedy, but he (or his wife) could try to arrange marriage between their daughter Marie Eleanor with son of Johann Georg (that way, their bloodline would stay on the throne, for Johan Georg-that would enable his son to keep claim to Ravensberg and Cleves-Mark. Sigismund III should not make problem for his brother-in-law with inheritance of Ducal Prussia. ITTL Brandenburg should be morze pro-Polish, pro-Austrian (due to connections between Polish Vasas and Habsburgs, also Elizabeth Charlotte, who was sister of Winter King, is not Electress ITTL) and more anti-Swedish (new Electress is sister of deposed Swedish King). Gustav Adolf certainly would not look for wife in Berlin...
Anna Vasa was Lutheran, so it may also happen, than Brandenburg Hohenzollerns would remain Lutheran. And in the future they could also significantly change course of event in PLC...
