Electorally successful Communist Party of Australia

Comrades!

What if the Communist Party of Australia (CPA) were electorally successful? Here we are not positing socialising the means and tools of production under workers control and the abolition of the exploitation of man by man. Nor are we positing forming government by any mode. We are talking about bumping a couple of them into state and federal parliaments. That’s electoral(ist) success.

Let’s deal with objections:

The NSW Greens.

But the Greens are a party of petits bourgeois intellectuals who have a fixated focus on elections. Exactly like the CPA.

But the Greens aren’t communist. Exactly like the CPA.

But the Greens don’t have a radical revolutionary position on socialisation. Exactly like the CPA.

But the Greens aren’t comparable. They don’t have a socialisation plank. They did prior to 2002 in NSW as a kinda clause 4. And that’s exactly as pissweak as the CPA.

But the CPA would have to fight in Labor strong holds. Exactly like the Greens in NSW.

And then there’s the example of the Balmain LaboUr Party run by trots.

So what if the CPA pulled finger out of bum and got bums on seats?
