Egyptians in Australia:How is Australia changed....

I was on the website when i found this:
http://www.historum.com/speculative-history/46871-ancient-egyptians-australia.html

Its probably a hoax ( and a bad hoax) sadly but suppose for a moment it is true..... and that Egyptians did land in Australia! How would Australia be changed in this extreamly unlikely TL? Could The natives resist the Europeans better? What do you think?

Oh and any other odd possible PODs please tell me! i might post them as challenges later!

So... Much... FAIL...

Anyway, with regards to the challenge... When are the Egyptians landing in Australia? Do they remain established there, or do they leave/die out soon after arriving?

And FYI, I'm doubtful that an ancient Egyptian was even up to the task of making it all the way to Australia except under an absurd array of unlikely circumstances... And those circumstances matter to what happens next.

Oh, you mean Nekau II... Yeah, that's not happening. First of all, that alleged expedition - which has not been confirmed by any historical evidence apart from Herodotus, and Herodotus is known for taking certain "liberties" in his accounts - was not conducted by Egyptians, but by Phoenicians employed by the Egyptians... Second, the prevailing winds and currents - which had Phoenician (and Egyptian) ocean going ships pretty much at their mercy - would not bring a wayward ship anywhere near Australia without having the crew die of thirst first. The Phoenicians and Egyptians were mostly "coast huggers" - they would not be able to handle long open-ocean voyages.

If ancient Egyptians had made it to Australia they would in all likelyhood in northern Australia (coming via Persia, India and island hopping through Indonesia) or less likely if coming down the coast of Africa get caught in the roaring 40s and end up in the South of West Australia.

Aren't the Nephites, Lamanites and the other spiritual antecedents of the Mormons purported to have arrived in "North America" via the Indian and Pacific Oceans?

Doesn't matter, as that claim is equally ridiculous. Gibraltar was about the end of the world for these people. They weren't about to say: "Oh, golly, wonder what'll happen if we just keep sailing south along this coastline"

That would have them sailing via Gibraltar, all along the coasts of Africa, around the Cape, and hugging the coast all the way along the coasts of India, Indochina, China, Korea, Far-Eastern Russia, the small straight seperating Russia from Alaska, down the American coast?

Pfff.....even the most capable ASB would throw in the towel. The only way that ancient Israelites would be able to get to America, was for God (or "an ASB" if you take exception to the mentioning of God) to magically transport them there.
