I doubt the latter due to public pressureThey might get more direct control of the Suez, or sit out of the conflict in Palestine.

Yeah, the Arab Legion (a Jordanian unit that participated in WWII) performed pretty well, I imagine Egyptian forces could be similarly successful (while also having the benefit of not completely lacking heavy armour and only totalling 10,000 men at peak strength).Would the experience in World War 2 help against Israel
It could assist with the East African and Syrian campaigns as well (and perhaps even the disaster in Greece), and its pilots could partake in any Commonwealth air campaign.The Veteran Army would help against Israel but how much can Egypt even fight?
