Egypt disintegrates during third intermediate

So around the 1050 BC Egypt completely collapses as a result of factionalism, Balkanization, famine, and perhaps aggressive raiding from Libya.

However it does not recover and the status of Egypt as a power is completely and irrevocably broken by 950-900 BC.

Since there are no campaigns by Shiskak and so forth does Judah have a better time? How does it affect the regional situation?

Even with Shoshenq I's campaigns, Egypt was essentially broken as a power by that time frame in OTL anyway. Shoshenq didn't even control the whole country, despite his Levantine adventures.

Without the campaigns, Judah probably does a bit better for a while, but it's likely going to be subsumed into Assyria at some point regardless, and Egypt is likely going to be conquered by Kush.

This might actually give the Kushites a stronger hold over Egypt, if they can play themselves up as restorers of order and stability as in OTL. Butterflies may make the Assyrian-Kushite wars go differently, and perhaps the reign of the 25th Dynasty persists longer than in our world.
