Pretty much what it says on the tin. What would the ending of the tarrentino flick Inglorious Basterds have on the future?

Minor spoilers for Inglorious Basterds. If you haven't seen it stop what your doing and watch it. It's on Netflix.

I don't think that much because it only ends the war a bit early. However, most of the high command being dead does butterfly away Nuremberg.

Its understandable in the cocaine-fueled haze that QT works in but they missed Himmler. Things get worse.

They kill off a decient amount of the top brass in France and Hitler.

Entirely possible it doesn't end better, that as stated Himmler takes over the government and unleashes gas. The war goes well into late 45 as nuke after nuke is dropped on Germany.

The July 20 coup plotters launch Operation Valkyrie and who knows? It might succeed?

Launch it against Himmler? He would never let them in the room. The war in that case is going to become an SS led affair with the Heer being dictated to by SS generals depending on how many Marshals were offed in the process.

If they didn't get a lot of Marshals then the army coups the SS the old fashioned way. It won't look like Valkyrie, it would look like a division or two of troops being sent from the East and West to Berlin to clean house in the capital.

Himmler he was worse than Hitler? By gas you mean gas on the allies. I think they implied it was the top German military brass, not SS leadership.

I know it was implied it was the Heer leadership that were wiped out and yes I mean gas on the WAllies and Soviets by Himmler.

Heer leadership get wiped out the war doesn't end, but the SS most likely take over the state and go all out.
