Good point. Very good point. What I was suggesting was that, to borrow your analogy, they had reports that their slaves had completely refused to work the plantations and were now threatening owners in rebellion.
But the analogy only goes so far and you're correct in any sort of realistic sense (as we both said, repeatedly) but we're trying to force their hand and measure the outcome...

Drizzt has a very good point and a massive criticism for the bombs going off at all. They would also not only be forced to use it as a bargaining chip, but be pressured by all sides to remove that chip in the first place. No one wants the bombs to go off.
