Effects of a George Washington Third Term?

Was thinking of writing a Timeline about this, but will leave it open for the moment.

As the title says. What would be the effects of George Washington taking a third term? This includes cabinet positions, and bills/acts of congress such as the Alien and Sedition acts - would he actually agree with such an act, or would he perhaps go with the more naturalized opinion that the Republicans under Jefferson and Madison preferred?

Would he dismiss/replace John Adams from the VP position? Perhaps putting Jefferson in his place (although doubtful).

In hindsight, would other Presidents seek third terms?

The fact that he would seek a third term would set a precedent for presidents to serve no more then 3 terms. Of course this precedent could be affected by when/if Washington dies sometime in his third term. If he did die in his third term it would force the issue of succession earlier. I don't think Adams would take a third term as VP. He hated the job, but I don't see Jefferson becoming VP. The VP would end up being whoever ran against Washington, and I don't see Jefferson doing that unless he really disaproves of Washington's job, which I don't believe he did.

I kinda figured that Adams might not run anyway, because, as you said, he hated the job of vice-president. And his own party was scheming against him anyway.

So perhaps Thomas or Charles Pinckney could take the VP job. If we go by the OTL electoral college.
