Effects of a delayed American Revolution?

This has been one stuck in my head fir a while, but it's only now that I'm posting, so bear with me.

Anyways:

We all know about the American Revolution, the one which established the greatest nation on Earth. :p

However, it was also the cause of the French Revolution, an event which changed Europe's political landscape for decades and centuries to come. It was also the cause of numerous revolutions and revolts in the Americas, including Haiti and Colombia.

My question is, therefore: had the American Revolution been delayed about 3-5 years, but still ended in a rebel/American victory, what would the effects of the delay be?

I don't think that's necessarily true.

It depends. :p Hopefully, there is a change in the British government that allows the Americans to peacefully secede.

A delayed revolution of the Spain's American colonies might mean an early loss of Cuba, or even an early Spanish-American war.
