Edward VI lives a long, long life

Anyone got any ideas on how his reign would turn out? The evidence seems to point that he would be a very capable, albeit religiously zealous, monarch with a strong reformist streak.

Mind you, his life isn't really my strong point. I've just been inspired to ask the reliable opinion of this board on the subject after rewatching David Starkey's Monarchy series :). Starkey interestingly postulates that had he lived, Edward would possibly have transformed England into a country more akin to Prussia and Sweden.

England and Scotland might have the same state religion in that case. Edward's religious reforms were certainly Calvinist-oriented.

Hmmm. Edward VI as a Calvinist version of Gustavus Adolphus 50 years early. Sounds interesting. A more Swedish type (and united) Great Britain. Might he have pushed for English colonies earlier than OTL? Or come up with a more effective East Indies Company earlier that would not limit itself to backwaters like Bengkulu on the island of Sumatra and give the Spanish and Portuguese early competition?
And who would he marry?

How would Great Britain come about here? Mary Queen of Scots married Francois II and there's no guarantee that he would die at the same time as OTL,or at least not childless. Second, he would marry Elisabeth of Spain. before his death there was serious negotiations for such a marriage and I believe that they may have been betrothed. Third, would England be able to compete directly with Spain and Portugal? Elizabeth I did a lot for England but for much of her reign England was a second tier power, not strong enough to to head on with Spain and Portugal. Fourth and finally, how would England be similar to Sweden or Prussia? England HATED standing armies and constantly stopped the monarch from having one, either by not voting funds or threw other methods.
