Edward VI does not die young

I'm sure that this has been brought up before, but I'm curious to start a discussion...
What if King Edward VI of England manages to survive to adulthood and sire several male heirs? Let's go further, and assume he weds Elisabeth of Valois, who he was betrothed to after the treaty of Boulogne in 1550. What are the implications of this?
I'm considering the idea for a TL in the future; at some point, I believe it would be important for Northumberland to fall from grace as well (perhaps in the mid to late 1550s, most likely by court intrigue as a scapegoat for the realm's growing financial troubles?).

I'm curious to hear thoughts...

I would think that it would mean a more hardline protestantism.

In this TL i would think that Edward Elizabeth off - but to who . . .
- Shes only half-sister to the king here.
