Edward Tudor?

Edward Tudor, a supposed son of Henry VII and Elizabeth of York. Some historians believe he is Edmund Tudor, 1st Duke of Somerset, but I believe that Edward Tudor might have been born between 1493 -1495. Princess Elizabeth was born on 2 July 1492 and her little sister Princess Mary was born on 18 March 1496, 4 years is a long wait to have another child. I would like your thoughts.

As far as I know, there is no documented children between Elizabeth and Mary. Four years really isn't that long of a time and gaps happened in royal births all the times: while some Queens had many children and could often be pregnant almost every year, it wasn't true for all of them, and you can have find 2-3 year gaps in many royal houses, if not longer gaps. It's doesn't mean Henry VII wasn't sleeping with his Queen, but possibly just had bad luck and there was no conception. As far as I know, the only other male child Elizabeth had were Arthur, Henry, and Edmund. However, records state they had eight children total, so this supposed son is missing -- it's likely Elizabeth miscarried early into the pregnancy as there is little to no info on said child; still births are still usually recorded even if the child is born dead.

Seconded. I feel like I've had this conversation before but I doubt there's a "missing" royal child. Remember this child, if he existed, would be the son of the King and Queen. I very much doubt his birth and death wouldn't have been recorded. No doubt Edmund's name was misspelled somewhere and over the centuries that misspelling has developed into a new "person". But if you want to have a discussion about a real person, like Edmund Tudor, more than happy to do that.

To each his own, I guess. If Edward existed I believe this would be a better time for him to be born instead of 1487/88 or 1498 - 1501.
