Another what If, say in 1301/02 Edward II catches an illness and dies, what would the consequences be? Thomas of brothertob is now Edward I heir, would he marry Isabella of France as was planned for his brother? Who would serve as regent for Thomas should Edward I still die in 1307? And what becones of the infamous piers gavestob?

Stop killing people, Lemmy!:winkytongue:

(This from the woman who threw Thomas Seymour down a flight of stairs to his death, got Henry Percy executed for killing Anne Boleyn, and killed off Henry VIII by having a horse throw him over a creek before the horse itself went over......among many others!)

Given that Thomas was so utterly inept at managing his own estates, I can imagine that he would be a big disaster for England. Would butterfly away Edmund, Earl of Kent's execution however, so that's a plus.

Oh, he was? Would he turn out differently being raised as king?

Edmund never seemed to have much popularity in his life, he has a bad habit of changing allegiance and his household was rather brutish with the common folks, so not much of a improvement there either.

True, though it did seem that he was capable, and of course if he's King, then he can't really change allegiance against himself aha

I'm not sure that Edmund was that capable of a person, but perhaps being raised as a king during childhood will work in his favour.

Hmm aye, this is true. Would either brother if they became the heir to the throne marry Isabella of France then, to keep the peace agreement between England and France?
