Eastern peace in late 1917 how do CPs react?

I am currently considering writing a TL about World War One with the pod in early 1917.

The idea is that for whatever reason the July offensive does not take place instead the Russians overrun ottoman turkey in a Caucasus offensive, then they make peace with Germany in later 1917 giving them Poland and Lithuania.

What I'm really not sure is what the central powers would do next with essentially an early Brest litovsk and many more troops, but losing the ottomans.

Go for the knockout blow against France, was that achievable?

White peace?

I would be thankful for any suggestions as I'm not incredibly knowledgable about the western front.

Russia beats the Ottomans but then gives Germany their western territories? Why?

Hope was persistent as a weed in WW1, to get a different result you need to change the balance of hope. Even after 2 revolutions in 1917 the Russians thought they could, and did, jerk the CPs around at the negotiating table and had to have peace jammed down their throats.

The provisional government did accept the independance of Poland though, would it not be possible for them to agree to give Poland and Lithuania independance, once they have seen the unreliability of their troops, or is this too optimistic?

I can't see Russia negotiating with CPs about peace when they have just defeated Ottomans on Caucasus. Russia had even dealed with western Entente that anyone not make separate peace. And even Bolsheviks tried fight but them had make peace when Russia was going towards civil war. Only way how Provisional Government could make peace is even worse defeats on front and beginning of civil war. And even then they wouldn't give up easily for Germans on negotiation table.

No, but I think you'd need a few changes on the battlefield prior to the February Revolution to get it into their thick skulls.

So let's say that there is no attack in the Caucasus and even that there are stil disasters on the eastern front, is there still no arrangement within the government that would seek peace with Germany on those terms?
