Eastern From

Could Germany have been victorious over Western Europe had Hitler not invaded the Soviet Union?

I ask this question because I just read that 79% of German casualties occurred on the Eastern Front. It seems to me that all these men with their accompanying material would have been used on the Western Front. And then what?

Thanks,

if you mean successfully invade england the answer is no... germany didnt have anything like the naval capacity to invade england with a large army and keep it supplied.

could they force a bloody stalemate or destroy a lot of the empire and force england to sue for peace maybe.

assuming they built a strong defensive line against any possible russian aggression they could have invaded spain to close gibralter. (this is a big messy operation with heavy casualties prolly takes two or three full field armies a whole year) then they could invade turkey and come down through the middle east (again huge messy operation and russia may not stand by and let the germans take the bosphorus) and take the suez canal. with those taken they could then try to negotiate a peace with england especially if churchill can be voted out based on the loss of the mediteranian areas
