East German-wank?

Can Democratic Republic of Germany be a dominant power in Central and Eastern Europe post-nuclear war between USSR, USA, and China? Let's assume that the Soviet-PRC ideological rift had become massive and China decided to get closer to the West (but I don't know of the proper POD, any help?)
Can we have a new German invasion of Poland all the way to European Russia to "stabilize situation"?

Thanks in advance!

There are many disadvantages East Germany had to overcome to succeed its Western counterpart (let alone even Poland or Czechoslovakia at the time) including a smaller population, smaller land on what was or is now Germany with less industrial centers and an occupying power that is barely willing to commit to their recovery besides a grudging necessity to counter 1st world countries along the front line. Even the propaganda of the DDR portrayed a nation where the people abhor war and the government dedicates itself to endeavors that would enrich their people and others around the world; in fact popular Communist propaganda portrayed West Germany as the militarist government being run by former Nazis.
