Early Italian ww1 entry

What would be the result of an earlier Italian intervention in the first world war? What sorts of things could we expect on the Italian front, how would troop movements in Austro-Hungary and Germany differ, how would the nation fair, what about their territories near he Ottomans, etc. I understand that Italy had treaties with France in particular, would that have been enough to get them into the war sooner?

Difficult. much will depend on the exact entry Point. Too soon the losses of A-H might not bee high and an Italian front is seen as much more dangerous than Russia (= retreat to Carpatians and sending experinenced troops vs Italy - whichj might lead to a 1914 Caporetto equivalent (OTL Austria Held the line with less than experienced troops - imagine what they woudl do with much of their pre war army intact) Too soon is also stalling GErmany in the West = earlier static warfare = more troops vs Russia...)

Too late and the offensive is limited to Isonzo as a Winter offensive in the alps is NUTS!
