Early 1800s WI: Will Qing hold on to Taiwan in case of a European invasion?

Let's say a colonial power decided to claim Taiwan some time in the early 1800, will the Qing dynasty hold on to it and fight, or just give it up to the Westerners for a reasonable price? From what I know, Qing isn't really that interested in the island, except to prevent the pro-Ming rebels from gathering there.

With a pod 1800, I don't believe the Europeans would dare to attack early on.

European technology is not yet as advanced enough as mid 19th century vs Chinese tech. Europe was still busy with napoleonic wars.

Taiwan is not profitable to own when you are going to war vs China. Europeans want to get access Chinese trade which Guangzhou/canton is. This is why Hong Kong is preferred over Taiwan. So whoever wins the napoleonic wars, Taiwan won't give you access or control on the Chinese trade.

The issue with buying from china is the only thing that the Chinese valued were silver or gold from Europe. The only European nation who had that so much access to silver or gold in 1800 are the Spanish which Chinese always traded with. This of course as long as Spain controlled the Americas.

The issue with Spain buying Taiwan is the Chinese are already trading with them. So buying Taiwan has no value.
