Earliest possible date for a WW1 scenario to play out?

What would be the absolute earliest that a WW1 scenario could feasibly begin (i.e. warring empires using trench, chemical and industrial warfare, etc.). Bonus points if you give me a detailed POD.

1910 would probably be the earliest for Germany to be able to fight a long, industrial war of attrition since it was when the Haber-Bosch process was proven to work on an industrial scale. Historically, it wasn't until 1913 that the first large industrial plant started production, but it's likely that this could have been sped up a year or two in an emergency.

I'm going to guess Agadir.

The American Civil War (1861-65) involved trench warfare, strategic movement of troops by railroad, electric communication by telegraph, aerial reconnaissance
by hot air ballon, submarines, armoured ships, rifled cannon and muskets. The rifled musket was murder against infantry using tactics developed for smooth bore muskets. Machine guns (gatling guns) were available but never used effectively.

The Crimean war (1853-18560) was similar and had Florence Nightingale invent modern nursing

The Franco-Prussian War 1870 had all those aspects and rapid mobilization based on universal conscription, a communist revolution, and French use of machine guns (mitrailleuse- a kind of volley gun) but again the machine guns were poorly used because they were understood to be artillery. Germany pioneered long range counter-battery fire.

The Russo Japanese War 1904-5 is the first war I would recognize as genuinely modern war, with use maxim guns used as infantry weapons, barbed wire, and a decisive fleet on fleet battle between armoured pre-dreadnought battleships.

Take your pick. Including motorized vehicles will affect the date of your POD. Including aircraft, heavier than air or zeppelins, will affect the date of your POD.

1880es to 1890es on lower level tech. There had been mashine guns already been developed but exclusively used in colonial theaters. Would an early WW1 see them unleashed on European battlefields in greater numbers ?
