hey, all. i came across this idea in the notes for my ASB ATL and decided i would ask for some extra opinions.
so, in the event that color pictures--particularly color motion pictures--are developed earlier than IOTL (let's say that it's the 1900s decade for still photos and the 1930s for color film) what d'y'all suppose would be some of the effects of this, not just on the film industry (i could see this affecting some of the artistic significance of The Wizard of Oz, for example) but on politics and how cultural figures are received in the period contemporary to this--let's say it goes up to the 1950s or so for the purposes of discussion. would some notable elections or other events be influenced by the fact that people can see things in full color and motion earlier than they did IOTL?
(and for anyone wondering why for color photos and later film earlier than IOTL here, i'll just say Prokudin-Gorsky and butterflies)
