Ealier Winter War say March 1939

Why is there no edit button?

Anyways, the war decided on Karelian Isthmus as well know,
but this doesn't mean the other areas we're of no importance. And in these areas the bad conditions would hurt Soviet troops a lot. For example in Petsamo the finnish originally had counted that the Soviets could attack with no more than a regiment. Historically they attacked with 2 divisions(if my memmory serves me correct). These troops relied on one road for their supply. As long as there was winter the roads stayed hard due to cold weather.
But with spring and heavy traffic the roads would turn into mud. This would happen pretty much everywhere, making the supplying of these troops a very hard task, and I suspect it would free quite an amount of finnish units for Karelian Isthmus.
