DWBI: What if Joesph Kennedy jr. died in WW2?

As we all know, former president Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. nearly died in WW2. Luckily we didn’t lose him and he later ran for and won the presidency in 1960 defeating incumbent Vice President Richard Nixon and lead the US into a new golden age.

But what if he did die in WW2? Could his younger brother John F. Kennedy gain the presidency like he did? How would this affect his family if he did die? Where would we be today if he went down in that plane?

John F. Kennedy? The movie star? LOL!

Ooookay, I guess we have had an actor as President, and his Midnight Ride, where he played Paul Revere in the late '40s or early '50s, was really good; I've read his dad pushed him for Hollywood just like he pushed Joe Jr. into politics. john had that leading man look and charisma, after all.

But, he also had that leading man thing with the ladies, and as much as his dad might have pushed him without Joe Jr...I mean, John and Marilyn Monroe married not once, but twice, and any man with that many divorces wasn't going to make it int he time he was able; yeah, one divorce was fine, but really, I think Supreme Court Justice Robert Kennedy was more likely to be President. All those cries of nepotism when Joe appointed him took him years to get over but RFK was a good justice. I still remember him being interviewed when the Red Sox finally broke the Curse in 2004, he seemed like a really nice man. (OOC: A nod to a similar interview with Justice Stevens after the cubs won OTL)
