A major battle, in the last phase of the Dutch revolt, at the time of the Thirty years war.
The battle was, even for that time, a very bloody affair, mostly fought in inundated area's and on dykes/levies. The battle was a decisive for the conflict, most likely not world changing , but never the less important for the Low Countries.
