Duchy of Parma Question

On the death of Marie Louise, is there anyway that the Duchy of Parma could end up passing to another member of the Habsburg Dynasty? I realize that the Congress of Vienna gave the House of Bourbon-Parma rights to the Duchy after her death, but is there anyway that can be circumvented?

Make Charles III of Bourbon-Parma die before 1817. The Congress stated that Marie Louise would be Duchess for her life, but didn't specify who or which dynasty should suceed to her. Only in 1817 the Bourbon-Parmas were confirmed as her successors. If Charles dies before this all the male members of Parma branch of the Bourbons would be dead, and so it would be easier to pick a Habsburg.
In the other hand, it seems that for a while Napoleon II was considered as Marie Louise's heir to Parma. That would be an interesing development.

Well specifically I want it to pass to Ferdinand Maximilian of Austria. I'm interested in having him take the throne of Venetia-Lombardy and then eventually take a unified Italian Throne, after the Habsburgs allow the Empire to be divided in 1848, so Franz Joseph can take the German Throne. The thing is as Franz Karl and Sophie's second son, he'd probably be more likely to take the Hungarian Throne, and one of his younger brothers be installed in Venetia-Lombardy, but if he was already Duke of Parma, I think it would be more likely that he'd be given the Iron Crown of Lombardy.

Plus it would also add to the intrigue, there were rumors that Ferdinand Maximilian was actually the son of Sophie and Napoleon II and if he was it would make sense for him to inherit the Duchy from his Grandmother. [/conspiracy]
