Now THAT would really get the taxman motivated. Unless Ian can prove that he's making >$10,000,000 a year, is a registered Republican, and runs a GOP Superpac.

Just mentioning that the locked thread advertising the now complete donation drive has lived on past it's siblings by hiding in the maps and graphic forum. Seems to be gone from the other though.

I just want to say that I fully intend to donate in a few months when I get a credit card.

Does this mean the end of the "how is AH.com funded" threads", which are some of the funniest things on the site? If so, Frown.png

Nah, just that we now have to tack on "...and Ian also accepts member donations too" at the end. ;)

The site should be funded until mid-2019, thanks to the continued generosity of monthly donors!

It's been a while since I did an exact count of the total number of dollars collected, but right now we have 16 monthly donors, which brings in about $75 per month (a bit lower than 80 because of paypal fees and such). This covers about half of the site's expenses, which are still around $160 per month.

Basically, when I originally did the donation drive I hoped it would hold us to the end of 2018, but my guesstimate is that it'll last another six months after that.

We do need to move the site to a new server, but I'm hoping I can do that without raising costs. So in this case, no news is good news!

Why not using Patreon for the expenses? This site is well worth it.
