Donald Trump was good friends with the Clinton family. In the 2000 Presidential Election, Trump supported Al Gore over George W. Bush. Bill and Hillary Clinton attended his wedding in 2005, The Clinton Foundation has received $100,000 and $250,000 from Trump, and in 2008, Trump wrote that Hillary Clinton would be a "great president or vice president". Donald Trump even named Bill Clinton the best president in recent times over Barack Obama and George W. Bush. In 2008, Trump supported John McCain's running for president instead of Obama. Is it possible that Hillary winning the Democratic nomination in 2008 would keep him as a Democrat? In June 2015, Trump notoriously said that John McCain was "no war hero" leading me to believe he would support Hillary Clinton in 2008. What I'm unsure of is who he would support in 2012. Trump endorsed Mitt Romney because of his appeal to the rich, so would he have supported Hillary or Romney in 2012? Does he still run for president in 2016? I'm guessing that the Democratic front runner without Hillary would be Bernie Sanders.
