Assuming the Great War is either ended or nearly ended by 1916 and the sinking of the Lusitania has been avoided (it was far from the only ship carrying Americans to be lost, but it was the most prominent), can Wilson still manage to be reelected? It's true that domestic issues had more impact on the election than foreign ones IOTL, but I think the preparedness issue could have effects on the Republican nomination among other things. If the war is ending by then, could the Republicans forgive TR's bellicose stance if there's no war to enter? The same would probably apply to Elihu Root, though I'm not sure he'd be interested.
