*sighs* not another Doctor Who TL.
Don't blame me but I LOVE Doctor Who. It is so unique on the face of it that many actors can play the same person.
After the first series' cancellation in 1989, there was a movie made in 1996. This movie did not score well and did not mark the start of the Second Doctor Who.
The POD here is that Spielberg gets on board in 1997. (I know,not possible but hey a man's gotta dream.)

The year is 1998. Just a few years ago, the planned revival of the iconic British TV series Doctor Who had failed. But there were whispers on the street that it would be back on the air in time for the new millennium.
The BBC had been working hard to get its famous show back on the air. In the end,America came in to help too.
The excelled Stephen Spielberg heard that the BBC was trying to get Doctor Who back on the air. The show had a big cult following in the states and he had been sure that under his run,he could help the show get more popularity in the states.
On January 14, 1998, the BBC held a press conference saying that Doctor Who was back. Under the new agreement was that the show would be broadcast in the UK by the BBC and in the US by NBC. Also,the agreement stated that their would be for the first time, an American Doctor.
Everyone was getting pumped for the return of the man in the Blue Box. But one thing: we needed to find the Doctor.
