On 1287, Henry the Virtuous does not return Wielun to Premislaus of Greater Poland and decided to focus on his own land and decided to have the other candidates to fight each other, he divorces Constance of Cieszyn, in the future, he focuses for the Future of his own state and decides that fighting the other Silesian dukes, he decides never to marry Matilda of Brandenburg, who he liked as it is not strategic, he took the bohemian princess Kunigunde of Bohemia as his own wife on 1287 instead and successfully reclaimed the Duchy of Opole from the Cieszyn Piasts with the aid of the Bohemian King, he returns Kladsko in exchange for help to regain Lubusz from Brandenburg between Poland and Bohemia.

The two other contenders for the Polish throne after the death of Leszek the Black also known as Leszek the Impotent, Henry the Fat, the direct heir to Henry the Pious, Vladislaus the Short and Premislaus of Greater Poland will fight out instead and on 1289, Vladislaus the short becomes the High Duke of Poland after his brother Leszek the black dies, Henry the Fat dies in battle, leaving behind his daughters who would be forced to marry the relatives of Vladislaus the Short.
