Disney keeps Power Rangers

What if Disney decided to hang on to Power Rangers and the other Saban shows instead of selling them back to Haim Saban in 2010? Might Disney make the Power Rangers multiverse a part of the Marvel Multiverse like Super Sentai is? Could a Power Rangers/Super Sentai official crossover be made? Would Disney do a reboot movie? Could Disney buy the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise instead of Viacom since they would retain their rights to Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation?

I'm pretty sure it's "Super Sentai". Anyway, are you implying that it's part of the Marvel Multiverse? I didn't know about that, even though I've read lots of comics as a wee lad.

But then Toei might yank the license. Saban Entertainment is much less threatening than the Mouse.

Thanks for the correction. Super Sentai takes place on Earth-79203 of the Marvel Multiverse along with Kamen Rider and Kikaider.

No to basically everything. By RPM the show is dead. That's WHY RPM was made the way it was, the show was already canceled. The only reason it existed was that Disney was under contract to make another season.

Disney was hostile to PR for basically the entire time they owned it, and had come close to canceling it repeatedly. If they keep the rights then its dead.

It would never happen on both counts.

What if Disney had been strongly behind Power Rangers? What about my OP in that case?

Then we would have had a very different Power Rangers history. In particular the Kalish era probably would have been less garbage with higher budgets and the executives not actively trying to screw the show. Production might even still be in the US without the need to move to New Zealand to prevent cancelation.

Anyhoo, with the people who worked on the show for Disney still around so have to hope Megaforce and Samurai would be dramatically improved, in particular without the nonsensical episode restrictions. I feel a reboot movie is unlikely, and if there was one we'd be looking at something closer in tone and aesthetic to the Ivan Ooze movie than the actual film we got.
