Different US neutrality 1914

WI President Bryan (difficult but not impossible to picture) announced that the US will not supply munitions to any belligerent state but would sell food. Diplomats from Entent or Central welcome to inspect cargoes but ships will be escorted by US Navy.

Does this ensure a German victory?

What is the reaction in US public opinion?

Any risk of Entent going to war with the US?

What happens in the 1916 election?

Well the British won't be very happy. They could decide to continue the blockade of Germany. This could to War of 1812 II; Electric Boogalo.

The U.S doesn't like when people mess with its trade. The Germans will be ecstatic. If war occurs the U.S like the original war of 1812 might stay officially out of the wider European war, though it's less likely.
