Different outcome at OK Corral ?

Well Wyatt and Doc would be a footnote in someone else's history:D. I would tend to think some other law enforcement types would gun the cowboys eventually, maybe even faster. It's also my understanding that the Earps and company weren't the most popular guys in town; IDK, I'd have to look more into it.

Weren't the "cowboys", presented almost completely contrary to how they actually were in real life; I've read they weren't the scary organized band of brigands they were made out to be?

It was basically a shootout between two groups of members of corrupt political machines. The Earps and Holliday were Republicans, the Clantons and McLaurys were Democrats.

I'd think the only difference would be Wyatt Earp wouldn't have spent the remainder of his life trying to promote his image in the same romanticized way. Had he survived he might have depicted himself as a martyr.
