Different marriage for Marie Antoinette?

Washington does have some noble blood.

Everyone is looking at Europe - who is to say you cannot look outside of Europe? No-where in the OP does it say that she has to marry someone in Europe. If you go loosely Washington is still in the running, but so is the one of the Qing Dynasty princes, an Ottoman Prince, or an Indian prince. If you go with the last one Tipu Sultan would nearly be the same age as Marie - 5 year age difference, but not a bad choice either.

Sorry if I come across as standoffish, but unlike in "The Golden Age" where Cate Blanchett's Elizabeth tells Walsingham to "find me an honest one of those" after mentioning a prospective match with Turkey's sultan, China's emperor or a king across the seas, Antoinette will be wedded for advantage TO A CATHOLIC IN EUROPE. Anything else ranges from borderline ASB (wedding Grand Duke Pavel of Russia) to so far from plausible (like wedding a Qing or Washington or whoever) it's no longer using the same currency.

But, if we're letting her marry Catholic anywhere, why not have Maria Theresia wed her daughter to Bonnie Prince Charlie, instead of scrounging up Luise of Stolberg-Gedern for him. The marriage can't be unhappier than either party's OTL wedding.
