Different first world nations?

Different first world nations

What if Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay remains in the first world status after the World War II?

What would be the effects to the world's economy if Argentina is one of the largest economy in the world?

First world, despite its current usage, did not originally mean that a country had a powerful economy. Rather, the "worlds" system was a way of distinguishing what power block a country was in. First world was basically American allies, second world meant soviet sphere, third world was more or less everybody else or those nations being fought over to some degree.

So, the question is, do you mean first world as in NATO allies, or first world as in alrge economies. And if the later, what exactly do you have in mind?

What I mean for the ''first world nation'' is their per capita is 80% to 100% behind of the USA GDP or GNP per capita, not necessarily a NATO member because Australia, Japan, and New Zealand is not a NATO member.
