Different Arab-Byzantine Wars

Looking at the sieges of Constantinople the main weakness for the Arabs seemed to be that they focused too much on capturing the city. Attempt to do so weakened their forces in long, drawn out sieges and allowed for Byzantine forces to rally in other parts of the Empire or call in the Bulgars to save the day.

Rather then focus on capturing the city if the Arabs had instead focused on other parts of the empire they could have slowly tied a noose around the city rather then fail to cut it off with a single strike. Understandably the city is a fabled prize, but if someone in charge had perhaps focused on long term plans...

Unfortunatly for the arabs at best they can reztrict constantinople in the best case scenario to itts later 1450 borders if and only if they have a perfect campaign in eithdr siege. However at this point the arabs dont have the tech yet to break the walls
Otl the walls fel due to not only superior ottoman force but also cannon and a nonexistentt city and
garrison.
Otherwise your scenario is possible. Just Constantinople i dont sed falling. But it is
hhighly unlikely but possible By the way what i am saying can apply to either siege or uses things which happened in either siege.

. What needs to be done is Greek fire is never invented. The arab fleet doesnt get caught in storm. Arab army doesnt suffer from disease or whether. Bulgars dont intervene. The rest of the empire in Anatolia and Balkans falls. In effect if these are accomplished the byzantines will be reduced to a city state. Then it will be a waiting
game till at least counterwieght trebuchets are invented. But once they are the

constantinople may be take provided the arabs can muster an army of at least 40000

It's possible, but the climate and landscape of the Anatolian plateau isn't really suited to Arab warfare, and the passes through the Taurus are very easy indeed for the Byzantines to defend.

I'll elaborate more in the morning, very tired now!
