Differences in the Punic Wars if Greeks had ruled Carthage?

If Greeks had taken over Carthage before the First Punic War (perhaps in an "Alexander lives" scenario), exerting their influence on Carthage and Italy for decades, how would it change the way the Punic Wars were fought and their outcome?

The short answer is that the Punic Wars aren't ever going to happen under a scenario where Alexander conquered Carthage in the first place as everything that comes after will be unrecognizable.

It wouldn't necessarily butterfly away Rome's initial, Italy-based rise, though. Once Rome is the premier power of Italy, they're going to get into conflicts with Carthage no matter what.

Any wars between the rulers of Carthage (who would inevitably look to contol Tarentum and Rhegion and the rest of Magna Graecia) and Rome would probably have their routes in Magna Graecia, rather than Sicily.

Yes, that will be... If Alexander conquered Carthage he will put also the Magna Graecia under is control or at least keep it closely allied to his Empire and so Rome will need to fight against them before being able to pick any conflict with Carthago. And If Alexandere lived and decided to go in the west he will likely go in Magna Graecia before Carthage, because he will likely wish to avenge the death of his uncle and brother-in-law as first thing
