Die hard Axis troops?

This is part historical musing and part what if - but were there any German troops in World War 2 that refused to surrender and fled to Japan to keep fighting?

Conversely, if for whatever reason Germany falls after Japan, would there have been any die hard Japanese troops fighting for Germany?

Well the Kreigsmarine U-Boats operating out of Malaya stopped fighting and were sized by the Japanese.

They were the only German force outside of Allied reach in 1945 and they pretty much gave up.

There were a few lone wolf Werewolves in occupied Germany, but the fight went out of the Reich as soon as Hitler killed himself.
