Will anyone here help with South America? What I’m thinking is that Germany and the US try to help the Carrancistas and Zapatistas in Mexico as they did in OTL, Germany gains French Guiana, Argentina is a central power, but slowly begins to turn Romanist, and so on...
U was thinking that there would be two camps of *fascism: Romanism, which would be in whatever states claim descended from the Roman empire (Russia, Britain, America, Argentina? ), and Antiromanism, consisting of the "noble barbarians" who were "oppressed by the Romans and their successors" (Germany, Ireland, a few Zionist movements, possibly Native Americans? )

Russia is actually following Belayism, a theory proposing the existence of a greater ‘White Russia’ consisting of all the lands of the former Russian empire, and genocide of the local groups, which include Slavic peoples like Poles and other west Slavic catholics, who are seen as ‘Catholic traitors’. In France, Fascism’s equivalent could be found in two places- the Romanist Action Française, who emphasised heavily on a patriarchal hierarchy, monarchy, and a return to Catholicism, and Neo-Gaulis,, which proposed that the French were descended from the Gauls, and claimed that the Germans were descended from the Franks who oppressed them. Generally in Britain Romanism was manifested through anti-Celtic sentiment and anti-semitism.

Antiromanism is probably more like the weird African nationalism of people like Mobutu rather than outright fascism.

By the way, we are talking about a lot of things like German colonies in America, and Central Powers backing coups, so would America intervene (only in the Americas) against the CP due to their blatant violation of the Monroe Doctrine?

The Central Powers-backed coup in Mexico was supported by the USA as well, at least in OTL. Meanwhile the US sees stuff like Cuba and other nations joint the CP as a way to counter British and French influence.
Guiana is another issue though.....Perhaps a small war would happen there?

I can see the Americans issuing an ultimatum to Germany to withdraw from Guiana, only to settle it with an agreement that would allow them to establish Naval bases in Guiana, or something like that

I should have the Retconned version of the Irish Civil war up by tomorrow. One thing that I am wondering though, is why if Joachim is the 1st king of Ireland, his son can be Searlas III? Is it referring to a past high king of Ireland? Or the kingdom of Ireland in personal union with the English Crown?

Referencing Charles I and II, who ruled as Kings of Ireland

if people want to go with democratic Imperial Japan that’s cool too, but a socialist Japan could be really unique and fascinating scenario IMO.

It would indeed be unique... What do you know about the Japanese red movement(s)? Did they advocate a GEACPS, too? Also, how could we ally the US with them?

@Hindustani Person , what is "Belaism"? Where did that come from al of a sudden?

I think a name along the lines of “Asian Socialist Federation” or something like that is more likely. Naming this nation the East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere could be good for irony.

East Asian Workers' (Co-?)Prosperity Sphere? That would be lovely!

Where did all these ideologies come from suddenly? Did you create them on the spot - especially Belaism? Why would they genocide Poles, Czechs etc.? Where did the idea of "Romanism" and "Antiromanism" come from at all?

Not that I don't like those ideas, but I do want to know where all this comes from suddenly and how I can intervene in them.

Portugal and Britain would be Romanist if we have them turn fascist. It doesn't seem like
is turning fascist in any way, or?

Haiti and Brazil remain neutral because of a smaller U-Boat campaign, and Chile,Panama, and Cuba joining the central powers due to Anti-Britishness.

Cuba? How do we get Cuba anti-British, I imagine them being anti-US first and foremost.

Uh, yeah, Panama and Cuba are on Washington's leash by that point. No way they're joining the Central Powers on their own.

I was never actually going to suggest that America would go fascist in this Timeline, I was merely listing Roman successors that might be influenced by the Romanist ideology in some way

So an American fascist party would likely lean Romanist.

We could also - to do away with commie-wanking in at least one setting where I am involved - go "Democracy vs. Fascism"What do you think? And then fully exploit the Romanist vs. Anti-Romanist split?

What about making that "Latin superstate" Romanist instead of communist? WOuld you like that better, @InfernoMole et al.?

I like that idea. But is it that the Romanists are fascist, and the Anti Romanists are Democratic? Or two split fascist groups vs the democratic countries?
And I am thinking that France should have a three way civil war between Republicans, Romanists, and Communists
