Dennis Papin get the credits for invention of the steam Engine

Dennis Papin get the credits of inventing a working and practical applied steam engine.

In 1707 Denis Papin end up in Leiden after finding dificulties in London. He find employment at the university of Leiden. Among his other teachings he find time and money to preceed his practical experiments with steam engines.
1709 Dennis Papin build a steam engine to presure the water for the fountains in the gardens of the estate of a rich banker form Amsterdam.
1710 Dennis Papin build an emproved version of his high pressure steam engine, based of the one of Savery. The engine works but is unreliable, the high presure used is in most cases too much for the applied enginering and materials.
1711 The water counsel of Rhine land, ask to build an engine to assis the windmils in order to drain the land. The water counsel is responsible for the maintance of the polders. Dennis deside to build a slight improved version of the engine he designed in 1690. An double acting atmospheric steam engine with condensers. Dennis is not a great engineer and is assisted by local craftsmen, gunsmits, carpenters windmill builders. The engine whihc emerge combines nearly all inventions of dennis, like presure valve, regulating valve etc. The power and speed the polder is drained is impressive for every body. Despite the cost of building and mainating the machine lift water over a distance and hieght normaly performed by three windmill in a row.
1714 Dennis Papin build, on the requist of a ferry owner, a small paddle steam boat. The boat is employed in the regular line between Amsterdam and Leiden, halving the time. From 17th century a highly sofisticated and relayble ferry service between the major cities of Holland evolved. The ferry pewerd by horse making it possible to travel in a day, whit comfort, between Amsterdam and Rotterdam or any city in between.
Unlike the reaction of his firts padle boat in Hesse Kassel, where it was destroyed by anger oars men, this attemt was hughe success which was followed by nearly all ferry services.
Any sugestions of an slightly earlier use of a slightly better/economical steam engine than the New Comen contraption?.
