Denmark-Norway-Russia?

How could that personal union come about? I imagine that the rule about Orthodox only rulers of Russia would come into play. So maybe the Danish king would have to convert to Orthodoxy? or Would it ever be possible for Russia to be opened to the Danish National Church?

Could the holdings of the House of Oldenburg successfuly be united into the 19th century and beyond?

Maybe something involving this guy: John, Prince of Schleswig-Holstein. IOTL he would marry princess Xenia, the daughter of Boris Godunov. You would need to change the fate of the Godunovs and make some people childless so their heir could gain both thrones, but it could be a start.

That's about the right era that if the buttflies flew the right way, there could be a (if but barely) surviving Sweden-Polish-Lithuanian-Commonwealth-Union, which could mean that there'd be some really amped-up Baltic wars between the Swede-Poles and Dane-Russians.
