This is probably bad math but anyway. let's say something like 110 millions people died during WorldWar and that it take 25 human for one race casualties the Race end up with 4 400 000 casualties of their own (but like I said it's probably bad math)

It's not really a demographic question, but I want to know why Germans forces stranded in Russia, Pskov in particular, were not evacuated/exfiltrated when the Lizards came and the Germans and Sovs allied? The same with the Japanese in China. I would assume that the situation was dire enough to give up on dreams of holding onto more than the great power's core territory, yet Germans remained intact in Russia and Japanese in China.

I'm not sure you're getting just how desperate things were. Retrieving the troops stranded in Pskov or China would require the home country having enough men to spare to organise truck convoys etc to bring them back. They didn't have that luxury, they were fighting for their lives right in the centre of Germany (less so Japan, admittedly).

Also, the Lizards tended to hold the territory in between the homelands and those troops. I suppose they could have tried to evacuate some of them by sea, but many would have been in far inland pockets.

A semi deomgraphic question. Is the USA more put-upon than Germany and the SU in the invasion? Or is Turtledove a fan of the Germans? It seems that in 2 years of war, with the lizards holding Poland and a good chunk of France, Germany gets into service; Panther, TypeXXI uboat, Me262, Me163, V1&2 as well as nukes before the US. But in the same timeframe the US, with lizards holding AFAIK two large chunks of US territory, the US is stuck with P40s and Shermans, a few rockets and nukes on par with Germany. Where are the M26s, SP artillery and APCs, P80 or at least P47s and Corsairs, the exellent array of US medium bombers, and world's best radar equipped AA gunnery?
