I have a few questions regarding the likelihood of introducing significant industrial facilities into India and maybe Australia between 1800 and 1900. I was wondering if the prevention of calico laws would aid this. I understand that the laws were brought up to save industry up in the north of England, but I think the earlier introduction of the Bessemer process, perhaps under James Nasmyth, would result in a larger steel market. Would these be good starting points to expand upon, and if so, which direction should I go. Any help is appreciated, thank you.
