Decent sources on XVth century asia

Hi all,

I'm trying to get good sources for my podcast about the East Indies but have a problem. Plenty of analysis sources another early Portuguese empire (pretty 1580) but nothing descriptive. No description of Cabral's expedition or Albuquerque's reign.

Any pointer?

Are you checking just sources written in English? I had a similar issue looking up some information about the Portuguese making contact with Bhutan and Tibet. In that respect, I had to browse through some sources written in Portuguese. If I am not mistaken there are some members on AH.com that may be able to help translate.

I'm ok with French and English sources. The few sources that seem decent are behind paywall but I'd rather have a book on the subject.

I'll check gallica again but it's not easy...
