Decades of Darkness--what the heck happened in 1947?

I just got done reading Decades of Darkness Complete Timeline. An incredible job, and my hat's off to the author. A couple of questions, though...

(1) Was it ever continued after the inauguration of Alvar O'Brien on March 4th, 1933?

(2) The above is where the complete timeline I downloaded for my Sony Reader stops...yet there are multiple references throughout the text to the fact that no Australian can come to the United States after what happened in 1947. What the heck happened in 1947?

You know the author, Jared, is an active board member here with a thread for Decades of Darkness, right?

Actually, I didn't know it was still an active thread--I thought that for some reason he'd cut off the collection that was posted online at 1933, and that someone might have known what he'd intended to be the backstory.

Jared, the author, keeps up to date (give or take a few months) with questions in the Decades of Darkness thread.

The timeline ends there on purpose.

However there is a book set in the '50s—The Fox and the Jackal—which Jared is finishing up and shopping to publishers at some point. A chapter is on the board.

That's a good question, I'm not sure if it was ever answered.

My guess is some kind of Australian supported slave uprising or perhaps something to do with making Chile or Brazil independent again.
