DC vs MARVEL Superheroes crossover

Did anybody ever read this crossovers graphic novel ? It was centred on these 2 ASB-lie immortal deity-like brothers competing against each other, who caused the heroes from these respective parallel universes to suddenly meet and have to fight against each other- such as Capt America vs Batman, Spiderman vs Wonderboy, Storm vs Wonder Woman, Elektra vs Catwoman, The Hulk vs Superman, Namor vs Aquaman. It was quite weird in parts, esp when the 2 universes suddenly merged, but it was a very interesting concept dealing with parallel universes, etc.

Yeah--I remember this one--after the two universes merged, there was a brief run of the 'Amalgam Universe' comics--one issue each of all the different 'combined' superheroes--some were pretty cool. It was fun seeing how they combined elements from two different heros into one ('Super-Soldier' for example had a Clark Kent character that had been enhanced by a Super Soldier serum during WW2--derived in part from the body of an alien baby discovered in Kansas in a crashed space ship--unfortunately while fighting some evil guys, he was frozen in the arctic only to be revived in present day Metropolis where he continues his fight against the forces of evil...)

Well if you liked that you certainly have to check out George Perez's JLA v. the Avengers . In the story, you have all the nifty plotlines of both legendary series merge effortlessly with each other. My favorite part is when a surprised Thor, Captain America and Iron Man attempt to overtake Superman only to anger him. His only response,"In this universe, your dials go from one to ten, but in ours, they go up to eleven..."
