I'm sure we all know the drill.
"Oh yeah, they TELL you that they've got all these potentially world-destroying weapons stockpiled to the skies, but if that's true, and this technology works, HOW COME THEY WEREN'T USED DURING WORLD WAR II? The Americans had the bomb but didn't use it?"
Accompanied, of course, by a four-hour You Tube video where some "dissident" physics professor tells you that the science behind nuclear weapons is bogus, and the powers-that-be all know it, but they keep the myth alive in order to deter their respective populations from demanding a more aggressive foreign policy.
So, question...
If the Americans has actually used nukes during World War II, would this have stopped these annoying conspiracy theories from developing? Or would they just say that anyone who claims to have witnessed the bombings was lying about it, the same way they claim that all the scientists and military types who have witnessed nuclear tests since then are lying about it as well?
(And not that it's my main goal here, but if someone has a way that this could all butterfly away that godawful Oliver Stone movie, I'd be eternally grateful.)
