DBWI: Worst Battle in North American history?

I was one of the tank commanders, my unit was towards the back side, we were just past Fargo when the nukes were set off. You could almost hear the thoughts of "Oh sh*t....."

You yanks owe us one nayways. After the war was over, how many of y'all did well allow to live on the Canadian Prairies? We rebuilt the entire midwest, and did a good job of it thank you very much. Saved your asses when the Ruskies came calling, too. As for Frisco, you rebuilt the Golden Gate, correct? And last I checked, Moscow is still radioactive......

Yeah and you nuked us more times then i can count. Invaded us dozens of times and used the refugees as slaves in all but name.

What about the battle of Florida. When the state went to hell in 1995 and decleared it's self independent of all thesttates in Aremica. That was a sad day indeed. All I remmeber in been in Miami, when this shit started. Iddependece followed by my friens been interned and then me runnig and hiding around the city for the next few weeks.

All I know is that at the end of the war, I was incharge of 50 partisans and a load of civilians that wee opposed to Governor Mcain's maddness.

Florida is in ruins now. 473,000 DEAD. Well I am sickened at what happened. I just wish the Aremican government had helped tose straving civilians, instead of killing them and delaring them unlawful combatents. That's why I hate the Aremican governmentand beofre you ask I am British. I was on holiday in Florida, and no I was not here as a spy. That's why I am still in the USA. So that I can help fix this mess.

Asshats....

The Howery Campaign of 2009. The systematic burning of the Canadian prairies was a crime against humanity. Several million acres of land was scorched, property damages ran close to a trillion dollars, nearly a million people were displaced and thousands died.

OOC: I take it *all* these are supposed to be in the same timeline?:eek: It's hard to top some of these, but...

My choice is the Battle of Washington, DC at the end of the Civil War. The number of dead in the firestorm--in the tens of thousands--was small compared to what came after, but it introduced the idea of terror attacks, and began the modern age of terrorism.

Napalm dropped from dozens of zeppelins...*shudder*

Another average guy who became a general, eh? I retired a Major General, in command of the 15th Mountain Armored Division. :)

I only finished the Canada/Russian War as a Colonel, but I commanded the 4th Division in the later years of the war as a Colonel since the Ruskies kept sniping the officers. I only survived because I wore only a privates uniform with a corporals insignia. Good thing everyone in the division already knew who I was. Oh I think I met you during the war, were you at the rout of Anchorage where a suprise pincer attack by the 4th Division and 2 other divisions of the 2nd Army routed the Russian garrision?

You wanna Talk about Burning Farmland, What about When those Damn Birds used us as Target Practice for their Battery around Proxima ...

FUCKIN' NoFlies Launched 48 Antimatter-Catalyzed Fission-Fusion Rockets at us at .1 c, Just so they Could Evaluate their Destructiveness on a Planetary Body!

We Showed them though, When we Trashed their Shrapnel Loads as they Entered The Solar System; Unfortunately we were Forced to Engage The Ocean-Penetrators Closer in towards Earth, Couldn't Depend on a Lucky Hit Detonating a Shaped Charge and Spraying Balls of Depleted-Uranium Back into The Rest of The Swarm, it was a Damned Miracle we Splashed The Two OPs we did ...

The Last Four Opies were The Real Threat though, Even Breaking them up would've Only Thrown DU Nuggets All over The Globe, So we had to Try and Nudge them onto an Escape Trajectory out of The System; Luckily The One Targeted on The Caribbean had been Destroyed, However, The One Planned for The Eastern Pacific was Damaged but Otherwise Intact, Too Damaged as it Turned out, it Fragmented when The First Interceptor Hit and Caused Pin-Point Mega-Tonne Impacts Along The California Coast and on Hawai'i!

The One Aimed at The Western Pacific was Also a Casualty, And The Ones Trying to Drop on Either Side of The Indian Ocean were Pushed Away with Multiple Impactors; we Should've Saved a Few More though, 'Cause we Ran out while Diverting The Opie from The Atlantic Side of Gibraltar, Goddamn Bogey Burst in The Smog over Mexico City, Showering Deyu Dust up and down The Great Plains, And When that Shit Splashed down it was Not Only Radioactive, Hot from Entry, And Poisonous to The Crops, it Also RANDOMLY Set itself on Fire whenever it Came into Contact with Free Oxygen ...

It's The ESA's Fault though, they Saved their European Asses, while The USA Took One for The Team, But we won't Forget, as Soon as we're Back on our Feet, they're Next!

OOC: I've only read up to post # 22, and by all rights America should be a wasteland that glows in the dark.

Mine? Hmm... well, I'm an Oceanian, so I can't really judge... I'll say the Battle of Seattle, July 22 1889. 50,000 dead over the small matter of a baked ham. The Canadian got his ham eventually... posthumously, of course.
